You’ve been in the industry for an impressive length of time, if you could go back to when you first started, what is one thing you wish you could tell yourself? 

 

It all happened so fast, and so randomly. I was just a kid from a small seaside town, starving for the world. I’d probably just give myself a hug and whisper: "You have no idea what’s about to hit you."

 

 

We’ve told us you’re in a band, can you tell us more about it?

 

Total cliché, but music really is my DNA. Mom and dad met at a Ramones show. My favorite childhood toy was their vinyl collection and a bright orange portable turntable. I started with drawing, added words, and those words slowly turned into poetry. The sketchbooks gained a voice when I met Laura and Morris. Together we created Starcontrol: three albums, 300+ shows across Europe, and a sound heavily bred by The Cure, Joy Division, and that existential itch of carrying an entire inner universe the outside world isn't quite ready for.

 

 

We see you have such a beautiful family. Can you tell us more about your children?

 

I’m a dreamer, but even my best dreams weren't this good. My wife Claudia is my sanctuary and my anchor. She gave me two incredible boys: Matia, 11, my sensitive, artistic Mini-Me; and Daniel, 9, a sunny, pure-hearted soul who inherited his mother’s charm (and all the friends in the neighborhood).

 

 

You have quite the talent for tattooing. How did you get into it?

 

Thank you! Remember those sketches? Art is a soul valve, but tattoos have a poetic contradiction: they last forever, yet they die with us. Growing up, I was obsessed with the tattooed sailors in my hometown port. Eventually, I decided my drawings deserved a skin to live on, not just paper.

What has been your most memorable modeling experience throughout your career?

 

There’s a long list, but shooting with Bruce Weber takes the crown. It wasn't just the photo; it was the ritual before it. The way he communicated his vision was so vivid, you could almost see the picture floating in the room before the shutter clicked.

 

 

How has your style evolved through your modeling career? What would you say influences your current style? 

 

In the beginning? I couldn't have cared less about fashion. But curiosity took over. Working with endless stylists and photographers felt like meeting a hundred different versions of myself, until I figured out which one was actually most fun to play with. If I had to name a guiding light, it’s still late-90s Helmut Lang—clean, sharp, understated.

 

 

Do you have any tips or recommendations on how to have a lasting model career?

 

Modeling is a wild, double-edged sword. On one side, it hands you ticket-to-the-world experiences most twenty-somethings only dream of. On the other, it’s an emotional roller coaster that can easily swallow you whole. The secret? Stay curious, count your blessings, and develop a thick skin. Learn to float above the noise and let the bad stuff slide right off.
